Database

How to use.

The above database and templates show how reoccurring expenses/events can be achieved in notion, giving you a 4 week/1 month (if frequency = monthly) future view. You can adjust how far ahead of a view you have by changing the number of weeks/months in the formula.

In order to see the templates created in the database you will need to duplicate the page into your own notion.

To add a reoccurring expense create a new template and fill in the data as needed. When setting a date for the expense to start repeating make this 4 weeks/1 month (if frequency = monthly) before the expense is ‘due’.

You can always override the date by filling in the manual date field. This allows you to create your expenses that will occur in the next 4 weeks without having to back date them.

For the purpose of the demonstration I have changed the ‘date created’ field to a ‘date’ property, in my own implementation this is set to a ‘created time’ property, it is up to you which method you would prefer. By updating the property it should auto update the formula if you wish to change it back to ‘created time’.

The formula for the scheduled date property can be seen below.
